Looks like a Yellow Throated Warbler. Could be male or female.
Nice shot of the Reddish Egret (white morph) also.

Thanks for the ID and compliment Nodal.

Love this thread. I have three kayaks, and have been planning to use them for photography soon as every time I go out, the birds and even deer seem to just watch me paddle by. Especially on the coast, the shorebirds allow you to get VERY close in a kayak. Can't wait to get out and use it as a floating "blind".

Shoot first and ask questions later.

What kind of kayak do you have?

Awesome shots everyone. I've never kayaked but have been contemplating one for a while. Seems like an excellent stress reliever. Also seems like it would be a nice way to lessen the blow of a bad day for shooting. I know when I hike around at my local refuge for hours and come up empty handed it frustrates the hell out of me.

Also.....I believe the bill color eliminates a white morph reddish egret.

I thought the black on the bill indicated a white morph redish egret. It's a little hard to see in the picture. What would you ID it as?

I'm no expert but they usually have the front of the beak black tipped with a pinkish color toward the back part and bluish around the eyes. Legs are also more of a bluish color. If I had to guess I would say that's a great egret with some breeding plumage. Maybe someone with more knowledge can chime in.

This one was preening and I managed to get it while it was poofing out the neck feathers. Other than the more obvious lacy feathers on the left side it looked like a garden variety egret.

Would be cool if it was a reddish, as they are endangered and supposed to be only 2000 nesting pairs in the US.

It is a great egret. Not a reddish egret white morph.

A couple decades ago I had a Klepper folding kayak and it was very stable as far as I was concerned. I have no idea if the Greenland Folbot is similar.

Was able to get out in the kayak last weekend. The only birds that were reasonably close were a Carolina Chickadee and a couple decoys. So it was landscape time. I though about pasting a Wood Duck into a landscape and posting it here, but thought better of it.

Another from September. I know it is a stretch for a wildlife thread but there are birds on the left and back lit dragonflies in the forground.

It looks like this post is from a few months back, but only one page behind on the thread. This shot is gorgeous though - fantastic timing and capture!

Here are a couple new ones. ***Warning*** these were processed on my laptop so hopefully they aren't too bad. I will update it when I get a chance to process it on a calibrated monitor.
