As close as I could get being I had my little x100 with me. I decided my kayak kit will be my X-T1 with the 55-200.

Nice setup, location and shots. I love where I kayak but wildlife is sparse most of the cooler months. I envy those with plentiful wildlife.

Took the Tamron out on the kayak with a 1DII for the heck of it. Never mind weather sealing. I kept it in a dry bag and pulled it out when ready to shoot. You only live once after all!

Love the shot of the Owl and the background is just ideal.

Really nice stuff, Charles, I wish I was there, it appears that you are doing really well over there.
Keep on getting the good stuff, I am envious! (I had actually planned on going there, but now's not the best time, it seems)

Thank you Randy! We were there two weeks ago for eight days. It rained every afternoon but was able to kayak seven of eight mornings. The sun never showed itself until I was packing up the last day. The flooding caused some current on the S trail but it was quite manageable.

Other than a Black Bellied Whistling Duck, this was all the wildlife I saw the entire time. But it sure was nice to get out and paddle.

The owl and beaver were on the S trail. The snake and frog were at Goat Island at the entry to the designated camping.

Fantastic shots lately guys. I'm hoping to take my new setup out on the kayak soon.

I'm a bit nervous after killing a 7d a couple years ago when I first moved to Florida.
