looking forward to sseing some of these shots as on a cruise to new england in three weeks, hope I have picked the right week to go as I believe it it hit or miss with the weeks each year. Alsolooking forward to using new camera 550d any tips on getting colours and backgrounds right (settings).

You seem to be a little ahead of the game for fall colours in the north, so here is one from fall, 2011 in the south....just to add a little colour to your page!

It is going to be a couple more weeks here as well. Due to the warm August and so much rain, I would not be surprised if we had to wait until a week or two into October for full peak color in some areas.

I was just up mountain biking the Monarch Crest Trail in Salida,CO and surprisingly to me, some small aspens were fully turned, yet the whole grove was still green. The leaves are definitely starting to turn and I can't wait to get up to the mountains to get some fall shots!
