I used to sort difficult staff out with a punch, apparently your not allowed to do that in civvy street

Wow - I bet that must have been a shock Mark!

Sounds like a great opportunity though. The keeper can clearly see how dedicated you are and that you have a genuine interest.
Fingers crossed you will get some amazing opportunities/ shots off the back of this.

Excellent, I was standing there this morning in the rain thinking excellent loads of bucks running about rounding up the does and a couple of quick skirmishes when the ranger Tom pulled up in is pickup got his rifle out and shot one of the bucks, the whole herd scattered, dam it just when it was looking promising, anyway I got chatting to Tom who has been brought in to Knole to sort the herd out because the last chap whos been there for 30years had mismanaged the deer, he just got every year a group of hunters in to shoot x number of deer regardless of age, condition etc which is the wrong way to do it, I had often wondered why the fallows at Knole always seemed small and when I went to richmond the other week with Lee and Andy I notice that they were bigger and chunky than the Knole ones.
Anyway he asked if I had any pictures from other years which of course I have a few...thousand, and could he see some to see how they compared to now so I sent him over a link to my deer folder gallery, hes asked if I would like to go to the feeding stations with him over the winter etc learn about the managment of the deer and also to see the new deer they are introducing which are 50 large hungarian fallow bucks and 30 sika and hopefully a number of reds as well. So a very good morning I had in the rain and im very excited about it all.

That's awesome.. Fantastic opportunity!

@ Wayne ~ I wonder if you can treat it like what in business studies would be called "an intray exercise" i.e. you are given a problem which you need to analyse and in so doing the conclusion is the remedy. So what is the difficulty? Is it performance or personality related? Depending on that answer what course of action would you take and most imporantly how would you measure the success of the actions taken.

This is Polly, she's a greyhound, and a lovely lovely dog. Sooo beautiful too.

I wouldn't think so, the sky looked best between 7.00-7.30. It was on fire!
