I put a bid on, won the auction and bought a new battery from 7dayshop. The camera arrived today. Nothing wrong with it - the battery was the wrong way round

Out on the stages proper a corner would be best for panning shots while just after a jump for a nice bit of airborne action. Not knowing what day your going or what the stages are this year that's the best advice I can give though I'm sure someone will be able to give you more.
