Like the sense of continuity in this.

Thats because they where taken in the same place (roughly). The girls are walking across Trafalger Sq. towards the buses. The buses are going pass the square.

Looks lovely, does he take a whole bottle of shampoo?

Not when you buy the shampoo by the gallon

Here's a few shots from a place called Compiano where we stayed at last week. Lovely little village where the castle is now a hotel.

Ho, ho.

I saw that and thought of Infinity Blade on the iPad. There's one section where the enemy appears at the top of some steps on the side of the Castle. ;)

Beautiful shots from Italy Jonathan, the light there is super isn't it.

quick question to anyone who might be around and might know the answer - I have 4 Cactus v5. Today I have to shoot a family (yes my whole family  ) portrait thing. I was planning on using both my lights one at each side of the camera - we have a good clear area at the house which will be fine. However, as I have got to be in the pics, and I don't have a cable shutter release - will I have to do the 10 second timer do you reckon - or can I use one of the V5 to do it ? have googled but can't find the answer - I have a feeling if they are being used for flash triggers you can't use it at same time to shutter release, bit of a bugger eh.

I'm not surprised, he's beautiful. Would love to shoot him on a black background ;) if he's ever passing this way on his travels!

crap, more googling and I found my answer - the problem is I don't have a shutter cable. Ah well, I'll have to leg it into my space won't I  guess what's on my list to buy this week!

The way you make this work is to put two units on the camera, one in your hand, and one on your flash. That's 4, total.
Set one as a receiver, pick a random channel, like 1, and connect it to the camera's shutter cable.
Set one as a transmitter, set it to the same channel as the above receiver. That's your remote trigger. Try it, make sure it fired the camera.
Set one as a transmitter, set it to a different channel than the units above, say channel 2, and connect it to the camera's flash connecter or stick it in the hot shoe. That's going to transmit when the camera's shutter is open.
Set the last one as a receiver, set it to the same channel as the above transmitter, and put the flash in the hot shoe.
Now, when you press the button on the one in your hand, it transmits on channel 1. The receiver connected to the shutter cable picks this up, and fires the camera. The camera's flash connector triggers the transmitter set to channel 2, which then fires the flash on the channel 2 receiver.

Haha - i love the "chimpamagraph" ;)

I think it works relly well - is there any way to remove the little shudder at the end of the sequence? Thats the only bit that breaks the sense of wonder i think. As said with the other ones you have done, a few seconds of non motion between cycles would improve it too.

Great evening set all round - i hope you get ace marks for your coursework. You deserve it!
