morning gang,

last few hours in the office, then it's off to the pub for beer & Thai food! :D

can honestly say I am really looking forward to 10 days off...

Grrrrrrrr not the sort I of thing I want to hear. Althought we were treated to breakfast today by the Civils manager, we did better than some as they were " taken to breakfast " by thier ET contract manager but had to pay for it themselves, knocked off at 1130 once todays job was done and the coast was clear but before we left we were informed that we're back at work Boxing Day for the rest of the week which our French manager who should of told us neglected to tell us so there goes Christmas baa humbug.

Adrian I echo what everyone else has said.

I'm just going to head into Reading to do some shopping. Hoping that the pre-crimbo rush is over by now. Last year, I did my shopping on crimbo eve and it was fine, so here's hoping.

Are you not tempted to go to Reading via Manchester to fully shake down your shiney new ride?

Feeling festive now, just waiting for our order processing team to finish in case the server goes toes up and should be out by 2:00, My wife has done all the shopping (bless her) and i have even completed my usual very badly wrapped pressies.

Off to see the new sherlock film at Bluewater and then 10 Days off with New Year in Cornwall and new years eve in the Cobwebb in Boscastle.

All good :D:D

Tempting indeed. I went over to Hungerford yesterday for a trip, but they don't have any nice coffee shops, so I came back again...!

Waitrose was awfully civilised as usual :D put cheques in bank, got some mini meccano sets for the kids (Bi-plane, helicopeter and racing car) as a "thing to do" on Boxing day.

Sherlock is great - although I am gutted - I worked on it for 4 days with two of my dogs - and neither of them are in it  the scene in the club where they're sitting at the table - Barley was right behind Jude Law and you can't blooming well see him  flipping typical. It's beautifully shot though, Guy Ritchie is very good at what he does. He's also a very quick director which is refreshing.

Missus has a lump so been at Kings hospital for biopsies etc which took up most of the day and get the results next week, she has already had cancer 3 years ago so we are not being overly hopeful....

Sad to read this mate but I'm sending you both as much virtual hope and hugs as I can muster. I hope it comes back good news.
