Excellent, two more entries to the SOTY. So let's make it the best year ever and get two more to make it to 38, a nice even number.

Entries will close at midnight, or at least overnight, so voting tomorrow It's going to be a very tough year.

Merry Christmas folks, hope you've all had a good couple of days. Been busy with the family stuff - and not taken any piccies.
Had a great slideshow from my niece today who's been in NYC for the last week. She has a 1100D and is progressing really well with it - she has a great eye, I'm very impressed with her shots.

Any chance of a bit of advice from you guys? I'm going to be buying my sister in law a new compact camera for Christmas (not done that side of the family yet). Budget is no more than £50.

Ideas/recommendations on a postcard please....

I noticed Tesco had some P&S cameras half price at ~£50 worth a punt perhaps?

Jessops have got a sale on at the moment. (Who hasn't )

There are some Pentax, Fujifilm Finepix and **cough** Nikon Coolpix **cough** cameras amongst the under £50 offerings.

If there was a little flexibility, there is a Canon Powershot A1200 for £59.95.
