Im with you there. I got my wife an Acer one last year to do her college work on, and straight away had to get rid of about 20 things from the desktop. Did speed it up too.

You can of course use the disk you were provided with but that will contain all the cr*p you just spent hours removing. Just go into Control Panel\Backup & Restore and follow the links for "Create A System Image". In the same place, create a "System Repair Disk" which helps with simple repairs or allows you to load up the system image you just created. Works much faster now tho and nothing I have removed is causing a problem. I made a point of finding out exactly what the programme did before removing it, 9 times out of 10 Windows had its own less complicated version anyway so who knows why Samsung had to add there own too?! It's just fluff that PC manufacturers add to make people who are not so au fait with computers feel comfortable. "Don't believe everything you read on the Internet" - Winston Churchill

Its a Bstard to get to though. I had to recover Vels Netbook after a virus, and it took a lot of googling to find how to get to it. Wayne A.W.O.L.

The point is though Wayne that that recovery method will put back all the stuff you just spent hours removing.
