Great BWC photos guys, definetely need to get back there again sometime soon.

Sorry to hear about Charlie Clare.

Well, went to HDew Cameras yesterday after phoning them about the 24-105, decided based on comments on here and other web sites it was worth a punt. Got there and couldn't find it . Although they say you can go there they dont have an actual shop but offices in an office building. Still a quick phone call and a guy called Shaun came down to meet me at the front door (It was only shut as the receptionist wasnt in). Very helpful people, seemed very busy with items lined up to be sent out and the a couple of people on the phone taking enquiries. So some money changed hands and I walked out with a new lens :)

Oh dear, that also sounds very iffey then. Yes, if you dont mind briefly saying what went wrong I would appreciate it.

Many thanks for your input on this, its certainly made me think twice about that option now.

Linda

Hi Linda. Yes i bought something on another forum, Gun related. Paid the guy Paypal Gift and the item never arrived. Guy dissapeared from the face of the earth. Emailed Paypal and basically got an email back saying Gift is for Gifts, not purchasing goods. So no comeback.

Seems like we should arrange a meet there sometime soon ... I'd be happy with that as it's very local to me!!

Got Charlie's results back today - bad news unfortunately. Seems his mouth lesion is an aggressive cancer tumour and so the vet says it won't be long before it gets into his lymphs and lungs ... So I have brought him home to spend some time with him whilst he seems to be ok ... But when he stops eating again I'll have to say goodbye to him. Vet isn't sure if it'll be days or weeks ... But probably no longer. So .. He's currently curled up in front of the fire and you wouldn't know anything was wrong with him! Will see how he goes over the next few days - the vet was impressed that I had managed to get him to put on over half a kilo in the last 10 days!! So I will keep feeding him up whilst I can!

Sorry to hear this Claire. Never easy when you know its going to happen. Lets hope its a few months. Animals are amazing things. Not like us humans.

I met Clare and Lee today at the BWC - thanks guys for showing me around - can't believe I've never been there and I live so close  and thanks Lee for the loan of the lens, nice stuff. Will be saving up for a longer lens in the next few months for sure.

So here's a few from today. They're a wee bit gloomy but it was quite gloomy today.

No, thankfully the Magistrates have to deal with them. No crown court hearings and only 1 county court....it's like the mary celeste!
