if you haven't been, it's a good zoo. Much nicer / better than most.

May I suggest PORT LYMPNE (external link) instead as it's bigger so more of a day out than Howlets and Cindy, Jon and Lee can vouch of it as they went there last year.

Another top zoo. I can never remember which one I prefer out of the two. One has more open pens than the other so more photo ops.

don't you think though that the animals are much much further away from you? I've been to both and found photos easier at Howletts. Happy to go with the flow though :D

I'd vote Howletts - Port Lympne is much more of a safari park zoo and there's less to actually walk round IMHO

I would be up for a Zoo trip, Aspinalls looks good, they have Anteaters which are my first cousins (once removed) :)

just looking back, I went to Howletts in 2007 - so I'm guessing this was taken with my 350D and 75 - 300.
