How to clean sticky softbox masks

Hello all,
I was just gtiven an older Photoflex softbox complete with louvers and masks. The silver coating side of the masks are sticky to the touch. I was able to unfold the masks to air out without damaging the surface. Is there any cleaner mild enough to not damage the coating?

Try lighter fluid and a tissue. I used it on art projects and any sticky compound. Just apply to tissue and rub gently. Try a small area first.

really! lighter fluid... not exactly the liquid you want around lights or electricity.

Try a product called UN-DO. It is a sticker residue remover, and it will take off just about anything. It is probably flammable, it has some alcohol in it, but it evaporates within seconds and doesn't leave any smell.

Thanks guys. I have some lighter fluid, non-acetone nail polish remover and goo gone to experiment with this weekend. Never heard of UN-DO, will look for it. I was hoping somebody had already discovered something that worked.

The beauty of lighter fluid is it evapourates, it is just for cleaning.
