RPCrowe Cream of the Crop More info | I did not know that my gal was a wolf hybrid when I rescued her from a shelter. I thought that she was a Golden Retriever + German Shepherd Dog (Alsatian) mix... My vet and another owner of a wolf hybrid confirmed that she had wolf in her but, I don't know how much wolf. She was intelligent and gentle but, could be fiercely protective - especially with my wife and our Maltese dogs whom she loved... She didn't need to be agressive towards humans. Just her demeanor and large build gained the respect of everyone. My present big dog is also protective but, instead of scaring off people, they smile and want to pet her.
