Your clients should be very happy. Only one I don't love is the rings in the flower. Nice work.

Can you point me in a direction why?

Here's my take...you know...aka the prick wolf. ;)

1. I think this is a standard issue hair/mirror shot. Solid shot.
2. I'm trying to figure out how the person in foreground fits in because I'm pretty sure none of the 2 hands are his/hers.
3. Nice! Love the use of TSE on this one. Love the conversion too.
4. Not liking the TSE on this one because the right most guy's head is being affected by it. Otherwise a good shot.
5. I like the shot but not liking the processing, but that's just personal taste. I just don't like this type processing too much.
6. I like this shot but not sure if the TSE was necessary? Again, personal taste but I think the structure offers some interest and would have been better if it was in focus, at least to me. Also, he looks kind of awkard like maybe he didn't want to crush the bouquet?
7. I actually like this ring shot. Nothing spectacular but does the job solidly IMO.
8. I would have liked to have seen her face a little more but I like the composition, the people in the background, the interior details, etc.

#5 is a winner for sure. Something about how the Bride's ring in #7 (how its facing upward) almost seems to make it lose detail IMO.

Thanks, they were all my idea. Not. The reception venue is a 130 acre property with a 4,000 sq ft, lime stone Bed and Breakfast on it as well. I am one of the preferred vendors there so I get to shoot a few wedding there every year.

Where do I start? Did someone piss in your cheerios this morning or did I come over and kick your dog and not remember it? I mean seriously, how could you be so mean spirited and such a dick to say things that are so correct, it made me go back and look at some of the photos I took :D

#1 Yup
#2 I soo didnt see it like this during edit but once you said that, that is all I could see. Its one of those moments where there are like 8 people in a room a size of a closet and you are fighting for space. I like it as it was unbalanced but the hand thing did weird me out. So I went back and here is the very next photo I shot and it puts everything in much better perspective.

#3 Come on, you know you hate this photo so just tell me, I already think you are smug little troll :D
#4 This is the one shot I wish I could do over, for the exact reason you said.
#5 Good try in hiding your hate for me behind "personal taste".
#6 Awkward is a good term, I think it happened because of the hill they were standing on and it was the first time he was taller than his wife.
#7 Kinda cliche and over used but solid. Agree.
#8 Thats how I took this shot, I set up the composition and held my spot for about for a minute and just shot. I refuse to coach any couple in a situation as important to them as the first dance, I would rather go into the background and take my chances. Seriously though, why cant couples pose themselves better without our help?

**disclaimer. I was poking fun at the people who think Nick's C&C is him being a dick or a prick or anything else. You people are ridiculous. Period. The feedback photogs get here is legit and different than your friends patting you on the back on facebook page. Get over it, take the boxing gloves off and rather than fight back, try and understand WHY someone choose to say what they did. You may not like the delivery of the C&C but if you fight it, you might as well just go along your happy life in facebook world thinking you deserve to be lead photographer for Modern Bride and just barely missed out on being the photog for the Royal Wedding becuase of bad timing.

Hmm sort of like you can not the facets as much? I did desaturate the ring some to get rid of the blue in it (from the sky behind me) I wonder if it that is it.

I can not add anything else that the smug little troll did not *LOL*. The critique was right on :)
My favorite one is number three and number 5 - the over processing. Nice series.

Man, that would be a good day actually. BTW, I don't have a dog. I have 3 cats. ;)

Is the TSE you refer to the blur? Also is it done just using a sharpness brush in LR3?

Tilt Shift Effect. Yes, the Blur. I believe he has a Tilt Shift lens so not done in post.

TS-E Lens, I have the 24II. Before I bought the lens I have played around using LR and Photoshop and while it is better than nothing, I have never seen a photo that had the TS-E applied in post that the same as using the lens itself.

I love the TSE in 3, but wish it was straightened a bit to the right. I envision marbles rolling to the left across the sloping floor, lol.

Fave is #5.
