I'm looking for a rubber lens hood that resembles the lens hood made specifically for the 50mm 1.4
Anyone happen to know if such a thing exists?

Figures. Looking for one I can walk around with the camera hanging out around waist level. I didn't want the lens hood putting pressure on the lens while walking around all the day long. Most of the rubber hoods available make me cringe, given their hideous nature.

edrader "I am not the final word" More info | The focus mechanism on the 50/1.4 has a reputation for being fragile and the front element moves while focusing. http://instagram.com/edraderphotography/

I personally think the Canon one is a bit expensive. So I went with the Ebay replica, works great and it is only $10. A rubber hood won't. Alan Myers
