Hey guys,

Went out and took some sunrise pictures in Myrtle Beach, SC and just thought I would throw them up here for some feed back!

Make me better!

Hey Drew. Good first attempts. The only thing that jumps right out for improvement is that your horizons slope down from Right to Left. Is the first one HDR? It looks like you're getting quite a dynamic range, considering the sun is shining right into the camera.

Thank you, easy correction to fix the horizons! Also, nope the first one is not HDR.

Drew
I really like the second image of the fisherman and the sun.
The silhouette and the sun work very well, as neither is overpowering the other.
The only nitpick I have with this image is the foreground wave is out of focus. But that is just my opinion. Nice work, you have a great start to your landscape portfolio.

just a few of my thoughts...

Yea that is definitely one of the things that bothers me about that picture as well. Now I know for next time right?

I like the 2nd pic. Its got more character in it. Horizon can be easily corrected in Photoshop.

Very nice effort. I Really like the color in #1 and the composition in #2. With #1, besides the horizon, which has been mentioned several times, i'd try cropping a bit more of the sky to move the horizon up the frame. just a thought, give it a try and see what you think.

Beautiful simplicity.
Inspiring.
Only critique is the magenta in the sand of the first throws me off.
