Popped up to Donington Park again today for the weekly track day. Not as exotic as last week on the car front, but still good all the same.

I feel I'm getting better at the panning now, and I'm really enjoying it.

Hope you like some of my best shots of the day, the rest can be found on my website here: http://www.cruiseculture.net/media/thumbnails.php?album=64 (external link)
Thanks :)

Thanks very much, nice to hear good feedback like that, makes me happy

Getting REALLY addicted to my cam now, especially motorsport.

Not bad considering I've only done panning on 2 occasions now...

It never was a VW Beetle it's a Uniroyal Fun Cup car. Space frame chassis with a fibre glass silhouette type body shell. Why they decided to make them look like VW Beetles I have no idea, you'll have to ask the series organisers...

Wonderful series Dan. Your panning technique is spot on. I haven't attempted motorsport photography myself but will be attending a few events next year, your photos leave me with great anticipation.

Brands Hatch is the nearest circuit to me so that will probably be the first one I head to. Just a case of finding the best places to stand for some good photo oppertunities.

Nice shots. It's only a suggestion but why not try a slightly slower shutter speed which will give the automobiles a sense of movement. Fast shutter speeds tend to make the vehicle look as if it's parked.. Just a thought. I like the photographs though...well done.
