Lowel ID light vs others?

I'm thinking of getting a hand held focusable light for those situations where you want to throw a bit of extra light onto the face without spilling anywhere else. I call it the "Morticia Adams look" because no matter where she moved the eye light always followed her. Anyhow, I saw this device

But it uses a 100 watt tungsten bulb from the auto store. That sounds like it burns through a lot of battery power to me, not to mention gel melting heat.

This review convinces me that the Lowel offers the best light quality, the MicroPro offers the best convenience, and the Ledzilla offers something in between.
