Does anyone know if either the Vagabond II or the Vagabond Mini can power third company DC continuous lights such as the Lowel ID-light? I know that the Vagabond converts D/C power to A/C power, so do I need a special device to convert it back to D/C?

The II or mini provide AC power from a DC battery so you want to convert it back? really? just get a 12 volt motorcycle battery or something else much easier.

at that point you'd just be better off connecting your device straight to the battery and avoiding the vagabond's inverter

Sounds like too much trouble. I don't want to buy the belt battery pack for the lowel I-D
light because I won't use it often enough to justify storing a sulfating battery for long periods of disuse. That's why I was hoping for some kind of ac adapter that I could plug into the vagabond. Unfortunately, lowel sells no such adapter. Jesus! Even my Dust Devil hand vac comes with an ac adapter. No lowel ac adapter equals deal breaker.

I think you misunderstood what I was saying...

I'm not very familiar with the lights your talking about but I believe its a 12v light...which would mean you could just as easily use some clamps on any car battery or the battery that goes in a vagabond II very easily just bypassing the inverter in the vagabond and skipping the power lost from converting back and forth.
