well, it's good to hear you got a quick turn around. I guess those things happen but it's too bad QC didn't catch it before it got shipped though.

Ben, I finally picked up the SpeedRacer V2. What an awesome bag! And your recommendations to move the shoulder strap hooks to the waist belt loops makes it so much better to get to the opening of the bag. Right now I have a 75 Skin Pop Down V2 but, wish to expand it with another pouch. Either the Hubba hubba hiney or Speed Changer V2. What do you think? :)

Nice Julian, glad you like it. As for which modulars to add to your bag, I'm not much help there, I have a few but neither of what you're looking at. It'll really come down to what you want to put in them. Good luck choosing!

I had the version one of the Speed Racer, really liked the format but sold it after I wanted something more compact. Ended up with the Retrospective 20, but I found out that no matter what, I really can't use a standard shoulder bag longer than a few hours.

So I made a purchase for a Speed Racer version two, and from ThinkTank mentioned it's going to have bigger front pockets. My worry is the change of the belt design, from version one, the belt was very wide and has a slight stiff material built in (plastic?). The only downside is the belt was so large that if you had a smaller waist (less then 32") you would run into the large side material, limiting the size adjustment.

The nice thing was the version one belt strap did help greatly with weight and I hope that with version two it's still just as supportive. I did find that the larger belt strap in version one was a pain to get around when not in use.

On a side note, the previous Speed Racer size felt very similar to the Retrospective 20 size.

Thanks Ben. I guess it all comes down to needs. :)

Tbh, I don't feel like the waist belt is that big a deal. It will certainly help when just walking around and most of the weight is on your hip rather than on your shoulder. :) More shooting and less pain! ;)
