Crop some off the top, fix the blue/green tint in the water.

That, and then get the sun in the rule of thirds.

Hmm, I'm familiar with the rule of thirds, but not quite clear on your advice about this sun.?

Thanks

The surf is way too bright and unnatural looking.

Cropping a little off the top would place the sun at a more appropriate spot using the rule of thirds (that's what that comment was about). I'd be more concerned with getting this to look natural then placing the sun in a better spot.

Yeah, he'd have to put the people too close to the edge(or crop them off entirely), to get the sun in a third bi-section

Don't fret about the rule of thirds...not really a rule per se, but a guideline. In this image, the moon (looks like the moon to me, not the sun) is close enough... But do something about the water...very unnatural looking, and crop some of the sky...too much of it considering the composition.

Color may be a bit more natural, but it lacks some of the horizonal expanse I wanted.

How about this:I cropped some from the top and some from the left ( to give the ocean/beach a little more significance), moved the couple a little to give them just a little more notice, tried to make the surf a more natural hue, but that's not easy.
To change the water, I used Channel Mixer and played with RBG. Any advice on better techniques would be appreciated.

Thanks

The colours look weird to me.

I think I've ruined this photo, messing with colors. And yes it is the moon. I meant to say moon.

Thanks for the opinions.

Should be a lesson learned. An image that has been properly composed and exposed should generally require very little "extra work" in the form of post processing. The right amount of PP can make a good image exceptional, too much PP can make a decent image much less so.
