As a new owner of the 5D2, this scares the piss outta me. I thought I would poll the esteemed group here at POTN on this issue.
In the 4+ years I've shot with the 350D, this has never happened.

Sep 16, 2011 15:03 | #9 Im guessing there is some user error here, I have had lenses that I though were on and then I give them another litle twist and hear the pin drop in meaning its actually locked. Im guessing by now Canon has the EOS->EF mount figured out pretty well.

The fault was always with the lens adapter, never with the lens or the camera body. silvrr wrote in post #13114561 ![]() Im guessing there is some user error here, I have had lenses that I though were on and then I give them another litle twist and hear the pin drop in meaning its actually locked. If you read my post that I linked to above (even though it's a bit "Long...winded") I put out some thoughts and it would be interesting to get some feedback! Tony

This is one of the problems with mass communication via the internet: 1 or 2 jackasses misuse a product and damage it and can stir up a whole conspiracy of why it wasn't their fault.
