To be very successful, I would imagine that it would take a huge library of top quality images. The type of images you trying to sell also plays a huge part. If you want to sell landscape and flower photos and pictures of your cat, I doubt you'll do well

2DP Member 118 posts Joined Jun 2011 More info | Success can be taken a few ways. I have 15 images on Alamy (obviously not much of a catalog for a stock site). I supplied those images back in Oct 2008. At the time, it was more of a challenge to see if I was good enough to qualify for a stock site (at the time, Alamy was reasonably hard to get accepted into, or so I was told). I had a success rate of about 75% of acceptance.

chakalakasp Senior Member 809 posts Likes: 9 Joined Jun 2006 More info | Sep 19, 2011 18:12 | #7 If you have several thousand saleable images ready to go and have around 250 hours of time to put into keywording them and don't mind waiting around a year for the sales to start coming in, then yes, it's worth it. 3,000 images will probably net you around $5,000 to $6,000 a year. You live in the UK, which helps, as Alamy has a very large UK customer base. Ryan McGinnis
