I think the Captain needs to continue holding Bunny Rabbit.

Don't you have the power to make it happen?

Nice to see little Zander's doing so well now, Harm!

All that for $400? Sounds pretty good to me. I've had several Olympus digital cameras and have been happy with all of 'em. I wouldn't hesitate to jump on that deal if I was looking for a new compact camera...

Seems like we had a similar discussion to this once before. Seat malfunction a couple years ago.

QUOTED IMAGE

I think that might just be the scariest picture of the Captain I've ever seen.

One of the guys who was with us at the airshow in Texas had one of these and while it took great images, I couldn't help but notice that, despite the smaller sizes involved, he still needed a bag to carry everything!

IMO, that kind of negates the purpose of having something small and discreet to bring along when you don't want to bring your SLR (and its bag...)

It one cool feature: You could tap the LCD on the back and the camera would focus on that spot and take the shot. I think that would be a very sneaky way to do street shooting. A stranger would think you were just chimping or checking settings while you were actually shooting!

I thought the same thing.. I had been looking at this one about a year ago, but didn't want to pay the price... this with the lenses included, and a memory card seems like a smokin' deal... :) Guess that's what a year will get ya... ;)

I could toss it all in my purse if I had slightly bigger one... ;) Didn't know about the "touch" feature.. that's a pretty cool / sneaky option. I think the IQ is supposed to be really awesome too! :)

Ah well.. G12 is in my bag.... so my choice has already been made for at least the next 4 years.. ;) lol... I'm really happy with the IQ from it.. just need a chance to use it some more.. it's mostly going to be my "night time snapshot" camera.. and so far it's not leaving me wishing for more... :D

If you decide the G12 isn't really your cup of tea, keep me in mind...

Just sell a lens and then you can pick one up .... or make a trade.... I'll trade ya for the BIG Bad Boy that you cradle like a baby... ;) hahaha... Can you imagine what a mess I'd make with that lens...

If you want to go chasing birds with the 500mm some time, let me know...

I'll alert Rural Metro...

Rual Metro already knows about me... had something to do with chasing a tiny little flower that had blown onto the highway... but it was soooo puurrrty and I couldn't resist the way it had settled into that crack in the middle of the road..... So I went to photograph it in the traffic.... caused a bit of ground turblance and distrupted the afternoon drive home for most people....

Chasing birds will be nothing in comparison....
