Just saw this for sale at Costco... MIght have considered it over the G12.... it's a good price with both lenses... isn't it? I'm so intrugued with these little cameras... lol...

I've had several Olympus digital cameras and have been happy with all of 'em. I wouldn't hesitate to jump on that deal if I was looking for a new compact camera... IMO, that kind of negates the purpose of having something small and discreet to bring along when you don't want to bring your SLR (and its bag...) It one cool feature: You could tap the LCD on the back and the camera would focus on that spot and take the shot. I think that would be a very sneaky way to do street shooting. A stranger would think you were just chimping or checking settings while you were actually shooting! I could toss it all in my purse if I had slightly bigger one... Rual Metro already knows about me... had something to do with chasing a tiny little flower that had blown onto the highway... but it was soooo puurrrty and I couldn't resist the way it had settled into that crack in the middle of the road..... So I went to photograph it in the traffic.... caused a bit of ground turblance and distrupted the afternoon drive home for most people....
