My sabbatical was sweet. I did try popping in, but the search feature for the non-members suck. And you can't view POTN posted pictures. So I did go to youtube and study stuff.
Went to the Detroit car show in January, South Carolina in April, Becca's grandmother died in May so we went to PA. Some other stuff went down but it's all a blur.

Chet, what spurred you into going on a sabbatical from POTN?

It was interfering with family and life. I knew I just needed a break from the online addiction. So as I couldn't just stop on my own I had the mods freeze my account for 1 year... and they obliged. This place is great and I missed it.

The only reliable way to search the forum is to go to Google and add "site:photography-on-the.net/forum/" (without the quotes) to the end of your search. If you're logged into the forum at the time, you need to have the number of posts to show per page at "Forum default".

I sure hope the new software Pekka is cooking up has a better search engine. The one in vBulletin is horrible.

My name is Lonnie, but I answer to Thomas too.

It can be addicting. I know I need to get out more and take photographs.

I wish I had known this. Not sure I would do the sabbatical again. Though 1 year did go by very fast.

A little scorched as a result of a turbo fire.

Happy Tuesday, JJ ;)

You are mean.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

I will be sending all kind of vibes tonight targeted to a little bundle just to make him squirmy at say... 2:00am, maybe 3:00am. Two can play that meany-head game.

Yesterday was nearly as bad as today....we found out that we have two family members on opposite sides of the country trying to die. I woke up this morning sneezing, coughing, hacking and all the other nasty side effects you can envision. Going to make travel a real treat if I need to head to either NY or FL in the next day or two.

Ah, sorry to hear that Dan. :(
