None, believe it or not...

This is almost straight off the back porch at the home of one of our Desert Light Photo Group members. Yeah, they're truly part of the 1% :(

Wow....I could definitely suffer with that as my view. I always seem to find the spots to shoot that have power lines out the wazoo. Seems like 99% of my shots from Apache Trail have one or more power lines in them.

If you ever got tired of aviation, you'd do well as a landscape photographer.

Cholla... Nasty stuff.

There's a Cholla garden in Joshua Tree NP and I watched an Israeli tourist walk in there in shorts. It wasn't pretty when he strayed off the path...

You should see some of the Equine / Rider portraits she's shot out in that patch of desert with the Four Peaks as a backdrop...

She doesn't have any on her website but she's got some large canvases hung in the waiting area of her studio.

I was in Prescott, AZ several years ago to visit the grave site of Kate Elder, girlfriend of Doc Holliday. While in the cemetery I accidentally backed into a cholla. Luckily, I was wearing full-length jeans, not shorts, but it still hurt like hell, and I was picking needles out of my legs hours later...

It's nasty stuff... It snags you so, so easily. Probably where the whole notion of "Jumping Cholla" came from.

Just Horsing around...

Peek.... Nice one Jay, really like the colors in that 4 Peaks shot...

Those cholla cactus have a way of sticking to you.. I've had more than one stuck in my hiking boots while tromping around looking for ways to compose their blooming little flowers... lol..
