Every new camera, every new lens.....there is a certain element that takes grand pleasure in gnashing their teeth and accusing the manufacturers of paying no attention to the consumers. I suspect this same element would act exactly the same if the manufacturers were to drop a new product on the market exactly to the specs they have been extolling. Face it, some people live to ****.

The really sad thing is that hardly anyone realizes the fact that when they don't get something in Camera X today, it's because nobody said anything 5+ years ago!!!!!

I swear there are people who think new bodies are engineered, designed, built and shipped in like a one week period.

And that is why they are idiots of the highest magnitude.

As for the 5 years thing, I can totally understand that. Usually from a figment of an imagination, through to a feasibility study all the way to permitting, designing and building a power station will take you about 8 years for a regular gas turbine powered (of a somewhat decent size).

If people are so up in arms about wanting things in a camera...go and make one yourselves :D

We had a younger guy on one of the other forums I frequent who designed his own left-handed grip. Does that count?

yes, that does count!

Now if someone complained to him that his left hand grip lacked something, he should design the next one to be used as a boxing glove too and smack that ****er into the next century.

He wired in a working shutter release; dont know about anything else though, have to imagine any of the 'finesse' controls such as a control wheel, etc, would be a bit more difficult to incorporate, but still..

Well that's idiotic... We all know it takes about 2.5 weeks...

But yeah... It's amazing how people still can't comprehend how long something like this is under developement.

No point in shooting anymore, we all have poorly designed, woefully inadequate gear that couldn't take a decent snapshot in the hands of a legend!

I'm convinced it's the same way with software. Everything we're going to see in the next three iterations of Photoshop has already been developed and is just sitting in the wings waiting to be incorporated into a release version...
