Hang in there. I still have the rejection letter that was sent to me from Motorola. I received it three months after I started working for them. That was 18 years ago.

No, it's a major organization and they have specific job posting statuses for cancellation and a position being filled. I have no reason to think that they just said screw you. I know at my current job there are plenty of job filings that are posted and then later decided now isn't a good time to fill them etc. Ah well... I have a few other possibilities.
