Damn you Boeing!

Hang in there. I still have the rejection letter that was sent to me from Motorola. I received it three months after I started working for them. That was 18 years ago. :)

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

Too bad this isn't even a rejection letter... they just decided not to fill the positions... It would have been nice to actually get a rejection then I would know what I need to change on my resume/application.

Maybe it hasn't been rejected and is being routed through the system.

Well I got the e-mail saying the job listings were cancelled. :( So it doesn't matter if it was cancelled or not, there is no job to get anymore.

What I can't understand is that we have still been running adds in the papers looking for engineers, yet, this month we are laying of about 20% with another 10% late in the year or early next year. It makes no sense.

Get rid of the ones that have been around for awhile and bring in new people at a lower pay rate. Ruthless, but saves money for awhile.

Which is just a polite way of saying stiff chedder. It still sucks though and let's face it, if they are that way inclined aren't you better off not working there? I suppose that does not help much when you are looking for a job though.

No, it's a major organization and they have specific job posting statuses for cancellation and a position being filled. I have no reason to think that they just said screw you. I know at my current job there are plenty of job filings that are posted and then later decided now isn't a good time to fill them etc. Ah well... I have a few other possibilities.

Sorry to hear that Nick.

As for HR departments and whether they make any sense...don't get me started.:evil::evil:

I have a rejection letter from the US Air Force. The Navy hired me anyway. :p

Well, I honestly hope you have more luck over there than you would here, most graduates with a degree over here only ask "would you like fries with your order sir"?

We have not had a single new employee join us since 2004. We have been laying off since 2002
