Multiple image composite (six or so). Would be curious to hear what people think.

Corrected - corrected version here. May need to refresh browser. Thanks for the feedback:

Very cool! I like the feel. I think the mountains and sky need to be "darker" or "grungy-er".

I also think her size appears off, like she is a bit big for the road.

Other than that its sweet!

I'd like to see a little more contrast, but it's a cool image. Metatrox is right, she does look a little big for the road. Also, work on your masking a little, you can tell the girl is cut out around her hips on her right side.

The image looks good, and her size seems right. I think some people have never driven down smaller old country roads. :D

Thanks for the suggestions.

As for her being too big for the road, if I had made her smaller, people would have probably said she is too small and I needed to crop the image overall or something so she was more the point of interest..haha..go figure. And Stickman is correct, country roads are actually pretty small. She's maybe 15 percent larger than she should be...but if I cloned out that yellow stripe down the middle...well there you go...you would never know. ;]

The road is actually not part of the original image, nor is the hill on the right...nor are the clouds...or the craters in the road...or the cracks...or the model...or the water bottle she is carrying....all are separate images.

As for the masking, I'm afraid you are wrong sir, it's a damn good mask. Here's a crop of the area you mentioned. Perhaps it is the hard edging you are seeing which is a result of the over the top processing I did on this. But the mask is almost spot on. Perhaps a section in the hair is a bit off.

Here is an edit with a slightly darker sky and a smidge more contrast. I also removed the yellow stripe, so it's now a single lane road...so ha! ;]

I love this shot. Looks like a character from a Mad Max Road Warrior movie.

This is completely against my style but I really like it. I like the first version and the crop in your second post also really works for me. Very cool. The sky in your edit is approaching to over-cooked look to me though.

I know you only did the crop to make a point, but actually like that best!

It might be that, but this is what I'm seeing (I hope this is ok, just to point out what I mean). It's the lightness around the edges of the model and the road. The only thing I can relate it to (which it is not) is the halo effect some hdr images have.

I didn't realize so many objects were separate images. Great job!!! Lol that's always the sign of a good composite is when you can't tell anything has been edited lol

Had a feeling that is what you were referring to. It's a result of a high pass filter and I forgot to mask out that edge.

Here is a corrected version with a shadow correction. The processing has also been toned down.
Thanks for the pointers.

Feels like something from the Fallout universe of video games. I really like it.
