Both are very good, but the first shows great skill (or really lucky). Dirt track is where it is at. Much more exciting than NASCAR.

I'm not gonna deny I had to take quite a few cracks at the 1st one, since nothing is more erratic then a sprint car, as it doesn't track through corners like a car does on pavement. Plus this was a B-Main, and with an $11,000 payday up for grabs in the A-Main, you know everybody would be fighting hard and the cars dance around and shake and vibrate ALOT. I have had pans, where the only thing not soft was the driver, believe it or not. But I don't fall for the numbers game or the bland photos that are seen at most dirt tracks.

Nice shots, better than the ones I see hanging in every local bar around here. I have to ask how do you keep the dirt out and off your camera at a dirt track?

Thanks, the world of dirt track photography was/is stuck in a rut IMO, so I took some advice from some sportscar photographers and went to work at changing the way its presented.

The answer is you don't change lenses there, and you either just accept that the camera will get dirty, and carry something to wipe it down with often, such as a swiffer, or a towel, or leave it in the bag and watch the race.

I actually love when it gets dusty these days...........it adds to my photos instead of making them worse.

Since it was such great racing do you have any multi-car shots?

If you can't fix it with a hammer you've got an electrical problem.

Not when I shoot with a 135L I don't, and alot of guys ran pretty tight to the wall, save for Hafertepe and a couple others in the feature, that ran high.

I'm not a big fan of the half the car behind a guard rail or retaining wall shot. Never have been, never will.
