Canon is offereing a $500 dollar rebate on its large format printers. ITSuplies
has the 24 inch ipf6300 for $2499. After the rebate that is only 2 grand. I have used ITSupplies for the 6100, and found them to be very easy to work with.
Rebate ends at the end of September, so if you have been on the fence, now might be the time.
Oh, and $1449 ($1699 - 250 rebate) for the ipf5100. But for the additional 550, 6300 gives you the reformulated inks and the ablilty to print 24" on the short side.
Oh, and ink is a lot cheaper. 58ยข per m/l rather than over $1.50 per m/l
