Any help with finding a good black and white conversion plug in for Photoshop Elements 8 on a Mac running OS10?

Many people like Nik Silver Efex (including myself), but it is on the expensive side for a plugin.

You can get Topaz Labs' new B&W effects for an introductory price of $29.99 - that expires today though. http://www.topazlabs.c​om/bweffects/ (external link)

If you want to stay with freeware, how about Virtual Photographer: http://www.optikvervel​abs.com/virtualphotogr​apher.asp (external link)
