I"m trying to see which one would be more effective and why? Can someone point me in the right direction. Thanks!

I found it difficult to work with tubes, but again its personal preference. I like 100L for macro as well as potraits.

The hybrid IS is a wonder and it will allow you to shoot hand held macro. Once you get the lens, then you can see if you are happy with the magnification of the lens for macros. As I was not satisfied and I invested in the kenkos. Now I have the ability to double the magnification of the 100L and the I love the combo. Just like a 1.4x on a telephoto, the kenkos make the macro lens better.

It gets a little tricky, but it did work for me when I used them together the other day, but I haven't used them together often enough to say if it is consistant. Most of the time I find myself having to manually focus until I get close.

I am tempted to get the tubes for my 70-200 f4. It might be interesting. Marcos Lins
