I got interested in Cinematic treatment again recently, can't remember why. I did read the Fstoppers article which was really good. Used the video to help with cropping properly.

I tried it on some shots from Taiwan taken last year.

Just discovered this thread, this genre, this technique. I find it very attractive.
Also, it reminds strongly of the Brenizer method with the obvious difference being these are single shots whereas Brenizer is more often many multiples of shots.
And it seems this Cinematic approach is perfect for big city moods and dramatic persona; I'm deep in the woods----is it ever applied to wildlife/natural landscapes?
