Agreed. The bars are critical and sometimes they can distract. I usually add them by increasing the canvas height in Photoshop and just choosing black as the fill color. But again, they're not that important.

Gosh, it's been a while I've been posting to this forum. I am still looking for a great way to mock this look with LR. Does anyone has a tutorial or is PS still mandatory to achieve it?

What tools are you using? Capture One? Photoshop?

You can achieve it with just about any tool that lets you manipulate the colors in your image.

Mostly you want to look at the image. If you see one you like, notice which colors are shifting and how. Then pull up an image and see if you can go in a similar direction. Or just pull up an image and start making some shifts of your own. Most of them won't "help" the image, but they will help you start to see what each direction does.
