The nice thing about this style is it's totally open to experimentation based on the subject and colors etc. Even folks saying they have no idea what they are doing are producing some very cool stuff. The other cool thing is these would make great slideshow images for TV when playing music on the apple TV, PS3 or whatever. Much more effective presentation than portraits with bars on the sides...
