Excellent series of captures Val! Very nice color in these too. It's pretty hard to get Roadrunner shots. They usually don't stick around long for pictures.

Wonderful series of shots Val, that is one sharp 100-400 there.

Excuse my Brit ignorance but is this a roadrunner?
(I have only seen the one before and that was outwitting one wylie-coyote)

Very well done. I have one around the house once in a while and they don't stand still long.

Great poses. It looks like you were down in the dirt to get that aspect. Very nice!

I was in the same boat, but a little google found this:

The roadrunner was designated the official state bird of New Mexico in 1949. Also called the chaparral bird, the roadrunner (Geococcyx californianus) inhabits desert and shrubby country in the southwestern United States and northern Mexico.

Great shots Waldemar.

Wonderful, Val! Love that last one; the dull red flowers in the b/g really help offset the little, brown fella :)

Very nice photos. I have a couple of shots taken in Palm Springs (also with a 100-400). They're funny birds to watch.
