Who said it was titanium?? The amazon description I pre-ordered mine from said "silver"... Why would anyone expect it to be titanium??... Or why is it being compared to the real titanium color? I'm I missing something?

From dpreview: "The camera will also be available in a 'titanium silver' version alongside the more conventional black - this is not the shiny silver of the Elph / Ixus series, but a darker, matte-finish look."

Yeah, dpreview...I always go there first for any info on gear :)

I will be getting the black, based purely on aesthetics. Just looks better to me. Although the silver shutter button kind of bugs me. The 'silver' version actually looks a lot better than I anticipated. Canon didn't drop the ball on that one. There's a UK website that did a review of it and has some better photos than some of the other sites. The silver doesn't look cheap or 'shiny' at all. I am on a time crunch to get mine, so I'll buy whichever I can get my hands on first. Probably will end up being black, regardless.

I would buy black, like the traditional S and G series are, cause I already have 2 silver ELPHs don't want it looking like a "cheap" camera. :)

I absolutely agree...the black looks beautiful...but the chrome shutter button on it...wtf were they thinking??? It looks ridiculous...

Is that a deal-breaker for you? You could paint it yourself, ya know.... :p

See, I'm getting silver because so many of you guys are getting black. I'll have the rare silver version and will recoup big bucks when I sell it to get the S110!

Nah, it's definitely not a deal-breaker, and I'm not going to paint it, but it takes away from the sleek, Darth Vader look of the camera haha...it just looks odd to have that shiny button there, especially when Canon has been getting away from mixing black and chrome on their high-end cameras like the G-series (Look at how much chrome it lost from the G7 to the G9 and then after the G9...) I'm not sure why they decided to tack on that tacky little shutter button ;)
