So I captured this shot a couple of weeks ago:

IMAGE NOT FOUND
HTTP response: NOT FOUND | MIME changed to 'image/gif'

I'd love to put it on the wall, however, because of the rest of the photo (other than the dolphin that is), it's kinda boring. Looking for some different PP which might make this more interesting.

Not looking for anything crazy, just want to make the shot more interesting. I'm always looking for different ways of PP as well...

Thanks.

Something as simple as a tighter crop would help.

Was the water really greenish? If you are asking for people to post up samples of their suggestions you have to change your profile to allow them to edit your images. It's a nice shot but lacks some punch for my liking but I am at a loss as to what to change as you have water and the dolphin. Not alot of elements to play around with.

My life is like one big RAW file....way too much post processing needed.

Unfortunately, yes, it was that greenish (was in a river). Just looking for suggestions to help make it pop as I'm with you, it's lacking something. Problem is, that's what I had to work with at the time and it's quite difficult to catch a shot like this. None of the other dolphins jumped and this one jumped this ONE time.

I see them all of the time here in FL but rarely jumping in open water like this. So I love the shot but don't like the way it looks. If that makes sense.

I'm afraid to crop too much as I like the sharpness. I'm sure I could crop a little tighter though.

I might crop a little off the top and right side. Maybe a little vibrance increase too. Other wise I think it's a great capture..

Why don't you activate your image editing and we can have a go at it. I bet if I had the RAW file I could crop that and get it sharp enough to cut your fingers on. Hard to work on this because it is sized for POTN specs.

I think the question about the water's color leads to a possible approach - edit to change the water color to something more complementary to the blues and reds of the dolphin (maybe make the water more yellow rather than green), and see how that looks.

Some Canon stuff and a little bit of Yongnuo.

How do I activate this? Looked through UserCP but didn't see anything.

Click on "User CP" on the top bar. Then Edit Profile. In the "Additional Information" dialogue box click yes on the first question.

Ah, found it. Was looking in the Options section.

Done.

Thanks.

btw, this isn't the full res version nor the RAW version. Just so you know.

Can you post the raw file? Instructions are on post #6.

Raw would definitely give more latitude to work with, but even with the jpeg you can improve it using a little vibrance increase, contrast adjustment and a little Splt toning adjustment, and then crop it a little tighter.
