Journey at Pechanga is a pretty cool golf course venue here in Temecula California and literally walking distance from our studio. We actually don't do too many wedding gigs at Journey as most of our work is out in the Wine Country.

However last week we completed a wedding assignment at Journey and I have posted a few images for your enjoyment and, of course, comments/critique.....Dan

I like #3 the most. good series!

Nice shots! I actually used to work for a musician who performed at Pachanga all the time!

Anyway, you didn't number but here are some thoughts in case you care to hear them...

1-I love the wedding dress shot. It's not your typical wedding dress shot so A+ on that one! I also enjoy the editing on this shot.

2- Great shot minus the glowing dress. The dress is just REALLY blown out and it's very distracting. Any way you could darken that down a bit? Then... yeah, great shot!

3- I also love this one.

4- Nice

5- This is the one I have issues with. The white balance is just completely off compared to the rest in this series. Very cold/blue. It just doesn't fit with the rest of them. If your entire ceremony series is this cold you may want to consider a small tweak to warm it up a bit.

6- Very nice.

7- This one you took in the opposite direction from 5. This is way warmer than the rest of the series. They look almost spray tanned and fake. I'd tone this one down a bit as well.

Man, I thought the old 80's band Journey, was playing at Pechanga... I was going to comment about how sad that was... LOL

I like #2 and #3 the best. Great

Great angle on the dress photo! That is a fantastic capture! I think all of these are great, but I believe the 4th and 5th photos could use some warming up, 5th more so than 4th.

I'll echo the same comments here. probably too late to tone down the dress in #2. Also watch your WB.

btw...im right down the street from there! ever need another shooter i'd be happy to come along.

Agreed with the C & C already provided. I think these are well done otherwise. I really like the dress shot. I don't like #5. Just doesn't feel like it belongs with the rest of the photos. Looks like a snap shot...

Thanks for all your comments!!

It is SOOOO difficult to decide WHAT images to post in a forum like this. Each wedding we do is different. We want our clients to be delighted with the results and people by nature have different tastes. Always ask: "what do you want in your images" .. and we ask for examples from magazines of photos that rocks' in their view.

Some want a lot of processing with effects like glow and punch....others want mainly monochrome with very little color .. while others want a total traditional "snapshot" affair. We do are best to accommodate.

When I select a few to show here I try and get a cross section of what the "real" wedding was like...I hope!

QUESTION: Would ya' all like to see a few more from THIS wedding that demonstrates a different look?

....Dan (thanks again for your thoughtful comments! appreciated)

Nice!

The one thing I'll point out is the second one in the second batch of photos. I really like it except the folded veil. I do this all the time too. I'm not sure if it's good or bad. It's definitely not a deal breaker. But because I do this all the time and it kinda bothers me when it is pointed out to me, that's what I notice in this photo.

I'd like to know what others feel about that. Is that such a bad thing?

it adds dimension to it i think. definitely not a distraction for me.
