How do I go about reinstalling Lightroom while preserving all the work I've done with it for the last several years?

The program is acting funny and I think it might be corrupted.

I have all my photos in one catalog.

Reinstalling or installing an update (current 4.5 RC) should not affect your catalog, but it never hurts to be safe. If you regularly backup your catalog to a safe location (as you should do) then you have no problem - you can copy the backup .lrcat file to wherever you want. If you don't have a recent backup, make one before reinstallation by copying the .lrcat to your desktop.

Why reinstall? Just delete the Lightroom (x) Preferences.agprefs file and it should clear up any problems you're experiencing.
