My first DSLR - Canon T3i

I bought my first dslr on a friend’s recommendation. Besides recommending the camera for a beginner like me, he recommended the POTN forums. I have thanked him repeatedly for both.

This is a great community and an invaluable resource. I have learned a lot, but I know I have not even scratched the surface.

Thanks to everyone for being so cool. I am going to be around for a while and hopefully I will be able to contribute in the future.

THIS! And trust me, being on POTN won't help! This place indirectly and directly contributes to so much spending its not even funny!

Welcome to the forum. Read up on the FAQs and tutorials, they really help improve your shooting! The T3i is a great camera to start with, so don't spend so much time on these forums and go out to shoot!

Thanks for the welcome everybody. I already have a wishlist of lenses setup and oh man...it's not going to be cheap!
