I like the view of #2,but they both look underexposed to me. quick edit.

Neat beach scene. It looks a little flat to me. Maybe some selective dodging & burning would spruce it up a bit.

To dodge = lighten...burn = darken certain areas. Usually highlights and shadows.

Quick edit with adjustment layers in PS. Dodge burn with soft light 50% grey layer using white brush and black brush for highlights/shadows. Can do in LR as well.
