You know, with the right lens and light the T1i really shines!!

* Disclaimer* I know with the right light and lens any camera body shines, but boy does the T1i really sings when you get those two to marry perfectly with it.

I agree above that other cameras have some extra bells and whistles the T1i is really a capable camera. FYI, that shot was just a test shot but I ended up liking its simplicity in subject and composition.

My my T1i is dying. When it goes to sleep it stays off and I have to remove the battery, unmount the lense (literally) and reattach everything just for it to come back on. This happened once before many moons ago, but not it's happening a lot more frequently. Almost had to cancel my shoot because I couldn't get it to work.

If this is the end, it's been a good camera. I've had it for 3 1/2 years. I'll just keep using it until it's done for good then I'll upgrade. Heck I'll still keep the body just as a memento to the start of my photographic journey.

anyone else have any issues with soft focusing...or the diopter not being able to be adjusted correctly?

My went for cleaning under extra warranty from store deal, still waiting it back...

after doing some focus tests it would appear i need to train further with focusing...and i've got an eye appointment to get my glasses updated which is probably half the problem to begin with.

so this is the result of my focus test...it would appear that its just me that needs more practice.
