I was shooting exclusively with mine over the weekend in a National Trust garden and I still think it's a great lens for the price I paid. Just less than £150 on eBay and that included extension tubes, a ring flash (not compatible with my DSLR unfortunately) and another EOS500N body (I now seem to have 3!). Team Bunny. Depth before dishonour.

The problem I had was really slow AF, then I realised it was on AF at the switch but on M on the push pull - DOH! It is like entering new world with another dimension. I never shot macro before today. M-E and ME blog
