firmware update (version 1.2.6) includes the following improvements:

Is that jut for mark II, or will it update mark IIn as well?

If not, does anyone know if the firmware for the IIn goes above ver 1.1.2?

Cheers

This firmware update (Version 1.1.2) incorporates the following additional functions:
Fix the phenomenon wherein the camera does not detect the capacity correctly when high-capacity recording media are initialized.

I have no problems with SDHC cards

* Nikon Z8 * Nikkor 24-120 F4s * Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8E FL * SB600 * 2x speedlight YN685 with trigger *

So ver. 1.1.2 is the highest for the IIn?

Thanks.

thank you! I can't wait till I can get my grubby hands on this camera. It's no mark III or IV, but I'll take anything at this point, as I am currently using a freaking Canon 10d, for pete's sake! I'm practically shooting film!

Hey, can anyone tell how many shots they can get out of their battery?

i use my 10D still

With the 1DmkII i shoot between the 800 and 1500 shots with one batterie.
It depends if i use the screen much....
The camera go's off if i dont use it in less then 2 minuts, just hit any button and the camera is in a instant ready to take a shot.

1500 shots is impressive, although not for the size and weight of that battery. I plan on chimping a lot so I don't think I'm getting anywhere near 1500. Also one of my batteries will be after market and I hear those aren't as good.

I use aftermarket batteries (cost £8!) and they last me for well over 1500+ photos, I think the last time I used it all day I had around 1800 photos on one battery.

I want me some of those!
Which brand are they, Radders. Or do you have a link maybe?

Yes, I know, I not only saw your link but also clicked it. :)
However, I was asking Radders after his particular after market brand. Unless of course he uses the exact same ones you do, but I didn't see any indication of that.

Has anyone tried tethering with 1dmk2 using Lightroom? Mine is reading it but it won't capture an image using tethering with my 7d no problem. We are planning on buying HITi photo booth printer next month and would like to use mainly my 1d mk2 instead of my 7d. Anyone knows what I am doing wrong?

Tethering with the 1d2 requires use of the firewire connection. USB only allows file transfer. I've done it before with EOS utility but haven't tried tethering in lightroom. Also, there are only 32 bit drivers for the 1D2, so if you are running 64bit OS, you'll have to find a way around that.

I need to stay out of the buy/sell forum. It's burning a hole in the wallet...
