Even at the highest iso setting, you dont get much noise. Paired with a decent prime (I'm only using the nifty fifty, so its not the best) I'm sure you could get great photos. As was already mentioned, I think it IS the best of both worlds! And all of my sports images are ISO 3200 in the gym. They print great, considering the high ISO. One just needs to know how to expose and use noise reduction. Eric
