I am considering a 1D MK IIn. I curently shoot a 1d classic with all SIgma glass.

100-300 f4
70-200 2.8
24-60 2.8

I believe these lenses willl work with this body. I just want to make sure before spending the money. Any help is appreciated.

Yes... Why wouldn't they?

The Sigma DG lenses will work fine, the DC lenses may give you vignetting at larger apertures, and the Canon EF-S lenses won't mount unless you modify them...

He's coming from a 1Dc with the same size sensor... So if he didn't have problems with lenses on the 1Dc, they won't cause problems on a 1D2.

Canons900; lens compatibility issues are more common for people changing sensor sizes... As long as you stay with the same size sensor, your lenses should work just as they did.

There are some old 3rd-party lenses that don't work on digital EOS cameras, but I'm pretty sure those only work on film cameras, so again, as long as your coming from the same size sensor, this won't be a problem either. ;)

Not necessarily, my 400mm worked fully on the 1Dc but only works wide open on the 1D2 - must be same with some other lenses.

Try resetting the file numbering (menu>first yellow menu>file numbering>m-reset) Should sort it for you. There may be other solutions.

This worked like a charm...not sure what I did but appreciate the fix!

So my Mark II N's shutter is failing (has failed)... I'm having the problem discussed in this thread https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=907645

Has anyone had a shutter replaced recently, and what is the going rate...??

Thanks for the input...

I just had one done a few months ago and mine was under $300. If it has over 200K, they will recommend that you replace the mirror box too.
