Try resetting the file numbering (menu>first yellow menu>file numbering>m-reset) Should sort it for you. There may be other solutions.

This is the correct answer. You only have 333 shots left in the current folder. You can reset the numbering or create a new folder.

What do you mean? I shoot sports, to my eyes and my taste i love 1D3 +70-200 over 1D2n+300 f2.8L IS, so how come that 1D2 + L is match made in heaven? I even want to sell my 1D2n to get 1D4, 7D result is better than 1D2 but the AF is for 1D2.

Lol, the thread is about the 1d2, yes I know there are better cameras that I can't afford, but for now this is good.

A stupid question. Is there a software that lets you connect you 1d2 via the USB to the computer so you can see the pictures on the computer screen direct, for example when working in a studio?

Pretty sure tethering is only available with FireWire... in fact, most functions work with FIreWire only... USB just allows you to transfer photos...

All Linux applications using libgphoto2.

Darktable allows you to shoot 'tethered'.

Does Darktable work with USB?

At least with my 60D it does!

Edit: I don't want to sound flippant. Yes it does. I loaded a little netbook I have (with the Intel Atom N270 processor, i.e. a very slow machine) and it works fine. I release the shutter and about 3 seconds later, I see it on the screen, the image being stored in a 'darktable' directory (folder).
