that sucks Vince, mine did the same thing earlier this year cost about 260 to fix it

Yes it does. At first I just figured my battery died, so I just popped in another one, then I realized what it was.
I was hoping it would be a little cheaper, but 260 really isn't a bad price for the repair. Well, at least the posters I sold today will cover the cost of the repair :D.

Did they replace your mirror box also when they replaced the shutter?

Hi
I need some specific 1DM2 advice. I am looking to use non ef lenses on my 1Dm2. I tried a non AF OM/EF adapter, but I gor "err 01". I emailed a AF confirm adapter seller on ebay who replied that his wouldn't work on my camera either.

Does anyone know where I can buy an OM/EF that works or is there "an adapter problem" with the 1DM2?

Thanks

That works a treat. Don't be afraid to attack the adapter with a dremel, it's dead easy!

Thanks Ross. I've been looking at the precision milled adapter for half an hour resisting the urge to sort it out with a pair of pliers. I don't have a dremel so I'll go to a local engineering works tomorrow and see if they can do it for me.

Just got my 1D II in the mail! I'm absolutely ecstatic, the camera has heft, and the small jump in sensor size is definitely noticeable. My 28-75mm feels like the perfect lens on here, the FPS is amazing, and,,,,Aaaaah, I love it!

And ISO 3200 is so clean!

She's using a 40D, and this was shot with a 1D2 and a 200 f/2....I couldn't decide where to post it.....LOL.
Since this thread is kinda quiet today, figured I'd liven things up a little. Went for a walk after lunch today with little Miss second shooter.
